I started the project by identifying the primary, secondary, and tertiary audiences to understand their needs and goals as NEU members and non-members.
Survey & Card sorting
To better understand user expectations for the NEU site's architecture, I conducted a survey and an open card sort (via UX Tweak) and analysed the results.
User Journey Mapping
I mapped key user journeys in the top-level architecture to uncover pain points and identify opportunities to improve the information architecture.
Developing the Information Architecture
Using insights from existing UX research and testing, I began redesigning the information architecture around user needs. I facilitated workshops with key stakeholders to ensure business requirements were also met.
Result
I delivered an information architecture, including an overview and a detailed breakdown reflecting both user and business needs.
